Create your Shopify Embedded Thermometer
Once logged in to Customer Thermometer head to Thermometers > Add new Thermometer > Marketing > Select Shopify.
The next step is building your survey. You can follow our steps here if you'd like further instructions on this.
Data collection
To capture identifiable data such as the recipient’s name, shop name, order number etc we use Shopify's variables within the survey code. We pre-populate some of Shopify's variables for you as shown below but you can add more into the spare custom fields if you wish (click ‘Add more fields’).
These pieces of identifiable data are then captured alongside the Customer Thermometer rating within your reporting.
Embedding your survey into Shopify
1. The last step of the builder will provide you with your survey code to embed within Shopify. You'll need to copy this by clicking the 'Copy to clipboard' button.
2. Log in to Shopify and head to Settings > Notifications:
3. Select the email notification template you'd like to add the survey to.
We'd recommend pasting the survey HTML code near the bottom of your template ensuring it's pasted between two <table> entities. For example, the cursor is where you'd paste the survey HTML code:
Don't forget you can always use the Preview button in Shopify to check the placement of the survey.
Once you are happy with the placement hit save! Your survey is now live!
Please note, the sending of the email template containing the survey will be managed by Shopify.
