Use Customer Thermometer with MailChimp as a footer to get feedback on your newsletters or
Send MailChimp campaigns to ask for feedback on your business.
Create your Mailchimp Embedded Thermometer
Create a new Embedded Thermometer.
Choose “Mailchimp” from the i) Embedded Thermometer type drop down box.
Generate your embed code
Click the Generate embed code button. You will see a window popup.
To capture identifiable data about the recipient and sender etc we use Mailchimp’s variables within the survey code. Enter your Mailchimp variables as shown below. These variables will provide identifiable feedback and dictate which data is captured alongside Customer Thermometer rating. You can add more variables if you wish, click ‘Add more fields’.

Click the pink “Generate HTML” button and copy the HTML code generated.
Add Thermometer icons to your templates or campaigns
Navigate to an email template or email within a campaign and edit it as you normally would.
To display your Thermometer icons, you will need to add an HTML block. Select the “Code” element and drag it to the relevant part of your email body:
Select the default code which appears in the Code window and select it (ready for overwriting).
Paste in your embed code into the Code window, copied from above.
Click “Save and Close”.
You’ll then see the icons with their tracking links appear:
Customize the HTML code as you see fit, to merge the design in with your newsletter.
Don’t forget you can create your own icons and just attach our tracking links.
Final steps
Once you’ve embedded your Thermometer into your MailChimp campaign, you’ll need to finalize your landing pages. You can enable a comment field, add your logo, customize the wording, and lots more!
