This guide will help you add your survey to your campaign templates.
Create your Hubspot Embedded Thermometer
Create a new Embedded Thermometer.
Choose “Hubspot” from the Embedded Thermometer type drop down box.
Generate your embed code
Click the Generate embed code button.
A pop-up will open where you can preview your Thermometer.
To capture identifiable data such as the recipient’s name, company etc we use Hubspot’s variables within the survey code. We pre-populate some of Hubspot’s variables for you as shown below but you can add more into the spare custom fields if you wish (click ‘Add more fields’) or remove any unwanted ones.
For reference, the Tokens that are populated by default are:
{{contact.firstname}} {{contact.lastname}} {{contact.email}} {{contact.company}} {{contact.currentlyinworkflow}} {{owner.fullname}} {{owner.email}}
Click the pink “Generate HTML” button.
Copy the HTML generated in the box on the right hand side.
Add Thermometer icons to your HubSpot email template
Goto Marketing > Email > Pick an existing template or create a new one.
In the drag and drop editor click 'more' under the content section.
Find the HTML block under Common Modules and drag it into the template where you want the survey to display
Paste in your survey HTML:
Then your survey should display!
Once complete, save your template and it’ll be ready for use.
When it’s sent to a HubSpot contact, the merged variables will pull together the relevant Personalization Tokens and all identifiable feedback records will be stored in your Customer Thermometer reporting.
Please note if our survey is added to the email signature section within Hubspot you will not be able to capture identifiable data as Hubspot's variables do not work in this area.
