Setting up an Accelo Thermometer

Create your Accelo Embedded Thermometer

Create a new Embedded Thermometer. Ensure you enable address capture on Landing pages.

Choose “Basic Links” from the Embedded Thermometer type drop-down box.

Generate your embed code

Click the Generate embed code button. You will see a window popup.

In order to capture identifiable feedback about your recipient and sender, you'll need to add Accelo variables/merge fields into the spare custom fields within the pop-up. These variables will provide identifiable feedback and dictate which data is captured alongside the Customer Thermometer rating.

Once you've added in the variables you want to use hit the pink Generate Hyperlinks button and on the right-hand side, your response links will be generated which will sit behind each rating icon. 

In order for the icons to display in Accelo, you must copy each icon link and insert it into Accelo.

Firstly, copy your gold icon link by clicking and copying it within the pop-up.

Within Accelo, navigate to the Email Signature Template area via the Configuration button on the main menu. This is where you set signatures for your whole instance.

Place the cursor at the end of the signature, click on the insert image button and paste the URL of the image you’ve just copied. A Gold icon will then appear.

Do this for all four icons – until your signature looks a little like this:

Now hop back into Customer Thermometer and select and copy the Gold response link which is displayed inside the Customer Thermometer popup. Head back to your Accelo signature and click on the Gold Star.

Next, click on the Insert Hyperlink button and paste in the response link you’ve just copied. This will add a clickable link to that Gold star:

Repeat for the remaining 3 response links. 

Finish off your signature by adding a question and arranging the contact details as appropriate. We recommend moving the question and buttons towards the top of the signature for maximum effect:
